Coturri 2008 Albarello

Tony has been making Albarello since 1985. The new 2008 Albarello is a remarkable blend of organic Carignane (40%), Grenache (20%), and Petite Sirah (20%)  from the organic vineyards in Mendocino County and Zinfandel  (20%) from Sonoma Valley, California.  You’ll notice a bit of smokiness in the nose of this Albarello as well as in the taste of this wine. The 2008 Albarello is very big and brawny and with an added dimension of acidity and fruitiness. It will stand up to full flavored foods like egg plant Parmesan, full winter stews, strong cheeses, and pesto sauces with garlic. Only 125 cases produced. 14.1% alcohol
