The 2004 Dixon's Peak Shiraz has a purple red color and a complex array of aromas. This wine has aromas of ripe plums and spicy notes of white pepper are rounded off with crisp chocolate flavors. Enjoy the influence of the terroir. The "fynbos" (garrigue) character of "tolbos" (indigenous flora) and liquorice in the after taste best illustrates this South African terroir. The most distinguished attribute of this Shiraz is it's soft entry and lingering after tastes.
The full ripe grapes are handpicked and manually sorted in the vineyard before being gently de-stemmed and crushed. The wine was matured with American and French Oak for 4 months and was blended with 7% Cabernet Sauvignon of the same vintage.
