Product Description

Nuevo Mundo 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon/Malbec

The De Matrino Family’s commitment to the environment and personal pride in winemaking is evident in this beautiful wine. This is a powerful new world style blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Malbec organic grapes. The Malbec lends the deep, red color; the Cabernet Sauvignon gives it the rich cassis and fruity blueberry flavors. Barrel aging provides hints of oak and vanilla and the organic grape growing allows for the slightly smoky expression of the Chilean soils to balance out the complexity of this wine.  The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon/Malbec is a vegan wine. Winemakers are not obliged to declare on the label when they use animal by-products as fining agents to clarify wine. A vegan wine uses no animal products whatsoever.

All the vineyards are grown in total absence of chemical pesticides and herbicides thus resulting in an official organic grape production. The grapes and facilities have been certified by USDA Accredited BCS Oko-Garantie GmbH and Quality Assurance International (USA), recognized throughout the world. This wine is great with hearty vegetarian chili, in a big glass after a hard days work. Appellation:  DO Maipo Valley, Chile    Winemaker:  Marcelo Retamal    Alcohol:  14.5%
